The Arch Bookend is a tribute to the enduring strength and timeless beauty of arches, which have been a fundamental architectural element for centuries. By incorporating this iconic shape into the design of the bookend, I aimed to create a piece that not only serves a practical purpose but also pays homage to these timeless architectural forms.
During the design process, I focused on iterating the graceful curvature of the arch to ensure that the bookend could be 3D printed without the need for additional supports. This consideration was crucial to maintaining both the practicality of production and a high-quality finish in the final product.
